Description

Mabel was aware that she was dreaming. She was conscious of the dull feeling of closed eyelids and her body against the mattress and blankets; though this didn't disturb the realistic sensation of the dream taking place in her mind.

Large ribbons of stars twirled around Dream Mabel. Upon further observation, she could see she was in a large, oily purple landscape. There was a vague feeling of weightlessness, as she stayed in a constant spot among the stars.

The light coming off of them filled the girl with content, and she felt warm and safe. The stars gathered closer to her and lightly tugged at her arms and legs. They seemed to whispering to her. Dream Mabel could not make out their message, but their affectionate tone prevented her from feeling wary.

A cold draft hit the side of her head, and she quickly turned her attention to its direction. One of the stars had morphed itself into a rigid triangle shape. The collective soon began to follow, each shining object rapidly transforming into a sharp-edged isosceles triangle.

Dream Mabel felt fear tightly clutch her, and all of the newly formed triangles disappeared. Except for one, which was curiously larger and brighter than the others. Dream Mabel recognized the hot sensation of terror start to climb up her throat, lodging itself in her windpipe and preventing any breath from entering. A slit formed in the middle of the triangle, and both ends separated to show a large eye popping out between them. The last thing Dream Mabel saw was the eye narrow in hatred before Real Mabel woke up to her own screams.
